Evangelist Sharon Walker studied at Wayne County Community College, majoring in Science/Business and graduated with an Associates Degree in 1987. After yielding to the call of God upon her life, she entered into Laymen’s Bible School, a 2-year program at Word of Faith International Christian Center in Detroit Michigan. Still hungering for the things of God, she then enrolled in Word of Faith’s School of Ministry in 1991, where she graduated with honors and became a licensed and ordained Minister of the Gospel.

While in Michigan she attended Word of Faith International Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop Keith A. Butler. Evangelist Sharon Walker faithfully served in the Outreach Department, Counseling Department, Comforters Department, Nursing Home Ministry, Touch Groups Ministry, Children’s Ministry and Choir. She is credited with beginning the ZEST Team (acronym for Zealous, Efficient and Submitted Team) which cleaned rest rooms between worship services.

Evangelist Walker married her husband, Reverend Ronald D. Walker, Jr., Pastor of Word of Faith International Christian Center, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands in July 1992. Their union was blessed in 1999 with a beautiful daughter, Promise M. Walker. Evangelist Walker is called to be a help meet to her husband and serve faithfully by his side. She sings faithfully on the Praise Team and leads Soul Winning Attack Team (SWAT) at Word of Faith. She is also Vice-President of College Preparatory Learning Center (CPLC), a place where young children between the ages of 6-months to 5 years come to grow, learn and develop. CPLC is a school designed to develop the whole child (spirit, soul and body).
