PASTOR RONALD D. WALKER, JR.

Reverend Ronald D. Walker, Jr. is the Pastor of Word of Faith International Christian Center, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Island a satellite church of Word of Faith International Christian Center, Southfield, Michigan where Bishop Keith A. Butler, is Pastor.

Word of Faith International Christian Center was founded on November 16, 1997 and is a congregation of well over 250 members. The church has a special emphasis on missions, prayer and praise and worship. Prior to pasturing Word of Faith in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Reverend Walker served in various capacities in the ministry of helps: Outreach Department, Counseling Department, Nursing Home Ministry, Youth Department, Touch Group Ministries and as a prayer leader at Word of Faith International Christian Center Southfield, Michigan.

Pastor Ronald D. Walker, Jr. graduated Summa Cum Laude from Word of Faith School of Ministry in 1995. He is an ordained minister of the gospel whose heart desire is to fulfill the call of God on his life in the area of missions. He is an anointed Bible teacher who teaches the Word in a line-upon-line, no nonsense manner that is easy to understand and apply to your life. Pastor Walker is committed to fulfilling the vision that God has given him for the entire Caribbean beginning with St. Thomas. His desire is to equip the saints of the U.S. Virgin Islands to do the work of the ministry.

In 2003, he opened Layperson’s Bible School with 15 students in attendance. Bible School is a 2-year course designed to give layperson and lay ministers a basic working knowledge of the truths of the Bible. Pastor Walker is also the President of College Preparatory Learning Center (CPLC), a place where young children between the ages of 6-months to 5 years come to grow, learn and develop. CPLC is a school designed to develop the whole child (spirit, soul and body).

In March 2, 2008, Pastor Walker established a satellite church in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands with a 106 adults as well as children in attendance. Services were held at Gifft Hill School with regular attendance of 30-40 people.

Pastor Walker married his lovely wife, Sharon in July 1992. Their union was blessed in July 1999 with a beautiful daughter, Promise.

SENIOR PASTOR

EVANGELIST SHARON L. WALKER

Evangelist Sharon Walker studied at Wayne County Community College, majoring in Science/Business and graduated with an Associates Degree in 1987. After yielding to the call of God upon her life, she entered into Laymen’s Bible School, a 2-year program at Word of Faith International Christian Center in Detroit Michigan. Still hungering for the things of God, she then enrolled in Word of Faith’s School of Ministry in 1991, where she graduated with honors and became a licensed and ordained Minister of the Gospel.

While in Michigan she attended Word of Faith International Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop Keith A. Butler. Evangelist Sharon Walker faithfully served in the Outreach Department, Counseling Department, Comforters Department, Nursing Home Ministry, Touch Groups Ministry, Children’s Ministry and Choir. She is credited with beginning the ZEST Team (acronym for Zealous, Efficient and Submitted Team) which cleaned rest rooms between worship services.

Evangelist Walker married her husband, Reverend Ronald D. Walker, Jr., Pastor of Word of Faith International Christian Center, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands in July 1992. Their union was blessed in 1999 with a beautiful daughter, Promise M. Walker. Evangelist Walker is called to be a help meet to her husband and serve faithfully by his side. She sings faithfully on the Praise Team and leads Soul Winning Attack Team (SWAT) at Word of Faith.

Founder

Word of Faith International Christian Center was founded on January 14, 1979 and is a congregation of over 21,000 members. Bishop Butler employs over 200 ministry workers. The beautiful 5,000 seat church edifice is located on a 110-acre campus in Southfield, Michigan, which houses all the ministry’s buildings and operations.

In addition to leading this great mega ministry, Bishop Butler also oversees the ministry’s International Operations in Canada, England, Bulgaria, Africa and Brazil. Bishop Butler continues to plant churches worldwide – to which he has established and founded 13 satellite churches.

He ministers extensively in churches, conferences, and seminars throughout the U.S. and abroad, with an emphasis on instruction, line-upon-line teaching and a no-nonsense practical application of God’s Word. Bishop Butler can be seen on national television and radio broadcasts. He is a contributing writer to the Detroit News, writing editorial commentary on a variety of issues. He is an author of more than a dozen books. Bishop Butler is a graduate of the University of Michigan. He is a graduate of the Rhema Bible Training Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In addition, he has been bestowed with an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Canada Christian College in Theological Studies.

Bishop Butler is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Word of Faith International Christian Center. Bishop Butler serves with the support of his lovely wife, Pastor Deborah L. Butler, and their three children who are all ministers.
